ABOUT iP-TEC®

Our plastic containers have made possible the realization of an “ideal culture container” and “live cell transportation of cells to their destination without freezing”.

Mission

As regenerative medicine progresses, there is a growing demand for “live cell transportation” transporting cells to their destination without freezing. Conventional methods of freezing and transporting cells are not suitable for use immediately at the destination, there is a loss of cells known as cold shock, and some cell types are considered unsuitable for freezing. iP-TEC® offers a full range of devices essential for live cell transportation, including primary containers for storing cells, secondary containers for holding primary containers, tertiary containers for transport at a constant temperature to the destination, and latent heat storage materials.

We are also developing a compact, high-performance, closed system for automated perfusion culture that can support researchers from the upstream “cell ” stage. With a focus on future regenerative medicine, our contribution to society will continue to revolve around developing cost-effective container systems capable of producing specific cells.

TECHNOLOGY

The advantages of “live cell transportation” are that cells can be used immediately at the destination and there is no need to consider cell loss due to cold shock, etc. On the other hand, there are issues such as temperature retention, vibration problems, culture medium costs, and leakage from containers. iP-TEC®’s strength lies in addressing these challenges through flexible thinking, extensive container design expertise honed over numerous years, and nimble execution. iP-TEC® applies six key concepts to problem-solving, which are being commercialized.

Container structure that does not require more culture medium than needed

Heat storage materials and boxes that can be transported over long distances and in cold temperatures

Container design that allows transportation of organized cells

Development of devices that allows transportation in open containers

Container structure that protects cells from vibration without air bubbles

Container system combining closed culture and perfusion culture

PRODUCTS INFORMATION

From primary containers for culturing and storing cells to boxes for transporting cells to their destination, we develop and propose optimal devices according to the conditions of culture and transportation.
