Special Functions of Our Plastic Containers
Sanplatec main product is bottles and containers with a lineup of more than 1,000 and a total annual shipment amount of more than 10 million pieces. We offer not only a wide variety of materials and shapes but also highly functional bottles and containers such as anti-static functions, fluorination treatment (Fluoro-barrier), washing treatment with pure water or chemical solutions, and sterilization treatment. These products are used in research fields around the world, such as chemistry, semiconductors, medicine, pharmaceuticals, and food.
Our Made-In-Japan and high-quality products which have been highly evaluated for 60 years since its establishment will continue to support cutting-edge researches and industries.
Polyethylene
This is the general purpose container. There are many variations such as large capacity of 10L or more and with a spigot.
Polypropylene
Containers with superior heat resistance, chemical resistance, and transparency compared to PE containers.
Shading Bottle
The bottle is highly light-shielding, with almost 0% wavelength transmittance in the ultraviolet region.
PFA
Compared to other plastic containers, this has many superior features such as heat and cold resistance, low elution, and non-adhesiveness.
Anti Static
This is an original container that adds a new function of antistatic to PE bottles. There is a need for powder storage.
Bio Plastic
This is a next-generation container for research applications using bio-PE that can be carbon neutral.
Fluorination (Flolo)
PE bottles are fluorinated by chemical bonding. Gas barrier properties and resistance to organic solvents are enhanced.
Pre-Clean
Wash the resin bottle with pure water or chemical solution to remove particles and pyrogen.
Sterilization
The bottles are sterilized by electron beam or EOG (gas). They are used for water quality testing, etc.
Disposable Cup
This is convenient for simple measuring, mixing and stirring.
Properties
What is bio-polyethylene?
Sugarcane, the main raw material for bio-polyethylene
Green polyethylene pellets
Bio-polyethylene is a plant-derived resin that is used as a raw material for plastic bags and plastic containers.
Plant-derived plastic products can be considered to have zero CO2 emissions when incinerated as waste because the main raw material, sugarcane, absorbs CO2 through photosynthesis during the growing stage. This concept is commonly referred to as “carbon neutral,” and can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 70% compared to conventional petroleum-based polyethylene, including the manufacturing and transportation processes.
Bio-polyethylene is expected to break free from dependence on oil and contribute to the prevention of global warming.
In recent years, attention to bio-polyethylene has been increasing due to the instability of crude oil prices and the social responsibility of corporations.

What is Antistatic?
Image of electrical resistance range (for reference)
Polyethylene, which is often used in plastic containers, has an electrical resistance value exceeding 1016 (Ωm) and is highly electrically insulating and easily charged. Containers in an electrically charged state not only attract dust and dirt, but also pose the risk of spark discharge caused by objects that come into contact with them, especially in environments where the air is dry.
To solve these problems, we have developed an antistatic container made of polyethylene with an electrical resistance of approximately 108-1011 (Ω). A polymer-type antistatic agent, which is not dependent on humidity, is used for manufacturing, so the antistatic effect is semi-permanent.

Verification method
<UV, visible or near infrared spectroscopy>
The diffuse transmittance of the sample was measured. The diffuse transmittance of the sample was measured using the Shimadzu UV-3150 spectrophotometer with an integrating sphere.
Integrating sphere (inner diameter: 60 mm, barium sulfate coating on the inner surface, sample photometry: vertical incidence, reference photometry: 8 degree oblique incidence)
Slit width: 12 mm, sampling pitch: 1 mm, measurement wavelength: 220 to 2600 nm
Verification Results
<Transmission Rate Measurement Test of PE wide mouth light-shielding bottle 1L main body >
Sanplatec’s light-shielding bottles achieve almost 0% light transmittance even up to 800nm, which is the range of light that can generally be seen by the human eye.
